Cookie policy
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Stronux uses and how you can control them.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Websites also use similar technologies, such as local storage, that keep information on your device. In this policy, "cookies" covers both.
2. Cookies we use
Stronux uses a small number of cookies on stronux.com and on the spaces hosted on Stronux:
- __Host-stx_at (essential): keeps you signed in by holding your session token. Page scripts cannot read it. It lasts until you log out or your session ends (up to 30 days).
- __Host-stx_rt (essential): renews your session securely so you stay signed in. Page scripts cannot read it. Same duration as above.
- __Host-stx_session (essential): tells our pages that you are signed in, so they show the right version of the page. It contains no personal information. Same duration as above.
- stronux_ref / stronux_ref_<academy> (referral): remembers the referral code of a partner link you followed (a link with ?ref=), so the person who referred you can be credited if you sign up, create a space or buy. On a multi-tenant path (e.g. stronux.com/myacademy/), the cookie name includes the academy handle (stronux_ref_myacademy) so each academy's referral is tracked separately. It contains only that code and lasts 14 days.
The session cookies are strictly necessary: without them you cannot sign in.
3. Local storage
We also keep some preferences in your browser's local storage, such as your light or dark theme and your language, information that helps pages load faster (such as a space's name and colors) and interface choices (such as a guide you closed). It stays on your device until you clear it and is not used to track you.
4. Third-party cookies
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use website analytics cookies.
When you pay, you go to Stripe's checkout, where Stripe sets its own cookies for security and fraud prevention under its own policy. Content that a creator embeds in a space, such as a YouTube video, may set cookies from that provider when you play it. If a creator uses Google Meet for a live session, joining it on Google is governed by Google's policies.
5. How to control cookies
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and local storage in their settings. If you block the essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in. Blocking or deleting stronux_ref or stronux_ref_<academy> only means that a referral may not be credited.
To learn more about cookies, including how to see which ones are set, visit www.aboutcookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.
6. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the cookies we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it last changed.
